TLC's Carnival Salsa Caliente - 26th August 2005

Wow ... what a FANTASTIC night we had at our Carnival Caliente. Thank you SOOOOO much to everyone who made that special effort to participate, to Giles and Rosa from Oxford who taught a superb Advanced class and to Pete who actually made our very own TLC 17 foot lorry on the stage!! (You had to be there)

Our winners for the evening were Michelle Livermore in a stunning and 'BLING' blue outfit, complete with feather head-dress AND Miguel Plaza from Brighton in his cute 'n' cuddly, cut-away cave mans outfit! Our gorgeous Carnival Queens were Kimberley, Maxine and Michelle

We also had an unscheduled guest appearance that night ... after Giles & Rosa had finished their groovy Ragatone warmup, the "doors went back" and Dashing Dean and his Bandana Boy Band burst in to the room, playing at full tilt on the back of a flat- bed trolley - oops sorry 'float'!!!! Cam was playing drums, Kevin on cow bell and Simon and Dean making as much noise as they could while pulling the 'float' around the floor , with the rest of us sambaring behind! They told me afterwards that they had a few worries out in the car park assembling the 'float' but it all came right on the night ... thank you boys - it was an absolute hoot! And if I can quote Dean, the band leader, ... " you ain't seen nothing yet .... watch out for the Oscar night on 16th December!! " We can't wait!!!
