Salsa Classes in Southampton
We have a very friendly and vibrant Salsa scene on the South Coast.
For people who have never danced before, we have Absolute Beginners classes and courses running throughout the year, where we assume you know nothing & perhaps have 2 or more left feet!
Each night we have 3 or 4 classes running concurrently for different levels, so that you can progress at your own speed. Our wonderful teachers give you expert tuition with heaps of fun & lots of TLC. (Click here to read our philosophy)
After
the dance classes finish at 9.30pm, the music continues, the lights go down
and everyone practises together.
Partners are very welcome, but not obligatory.
You can just turn up on your own or with friends and we'll rotate the
partners for you.
So even if you have 2, or more, left feet, join us on the dance floor and we will guide you through every step along the way.

Absolute Beginners have a 4 or 5 week
Salsa course beginning on
the first Tuesday of each month. The next
course will start on Tuesday,
7 Feb 2012 and run for
the duration of that month, after which time, students can progress
into the Improvers class held at the same time with another teacher,
on a drop-in basis. If you want to be reminded
for the next course, please

of every month except December ie: 7 Feb, 6 Mar,

No need to book or bring a partner, just smooth-soled shoes ... and some comfortable clothing!

There is no need to book or bring partners as we all dance together. You can try the Taster class before you join the course. The Beginners course progresses slowly each week, we have lots of fun and although you may think you have 2 left feet, we will cure you of this - GUARANTEED!
If you have danced before, there are currently 4 other classes for:

Recent Beginners
Level 3 - Improvers
Level 4 - Intermediates
all held on a weekly drop-in basis held at the same time with different teachers.
All you need to do is turn up and we'll do everything else for you!

There
is an Absolute Beginners class every week of the year (except at Xmas).
So it doesn't matter which Thursday you arrive as the classes are structured
on a 'drop-in' basis, with no need to book or bring partners. All other classes are held concurrently.
All you need to do is turn up and we'll do everything else for you!

is a fantastic freestyle night every 2 weeks of the year to kick start you into the weekend. People come from all over the South Coast to enjoy our warm and friendly vibe:

There is a FREE class 8-9pm and then the DJ will keep you dancing Salsa until midnight, with a flavour of Kizomba, Bachata, Cha Cha & Merengue
The entrance fee is £8 all night

There is ample car parking behind the club or opposite in Banister School car park

Beginners : 1-2.30pm for beginners Rueda
Improvers/Intermediates: 2.45-4.30pm

No Rueda Sat 25 Feb 2012 (TLC Ball)
Rueda is
a circular Cuban Salsa dance where a leader calls moves in quick succession
and everyone follows. It's exciting and sometimes chaotic, but above all
it's fun.

The Beginners class is suitable for Salsa dancers with a minimum of 8
weeks dancing experience.
Improvers must know Abajo, Arriba, Dame dos, Enchufle doble, Vacilila
and others
