is a fantastic freestyle night every 2 weeks of the year to kick start you into the weekend. People come from all over the South to enjoy our warm and friendly vibe:

There is a FREE class 8-9pm and then the DJ will keep you dancing Salsa until midnight, and spiced with flavours of Bachata, Cha Cha & Merengue and a totally separate dedicated Kizomba room.

9pm - Dancing until midnight
The club has a superb dance floor, air con, licensed bar and most important
of all, a great friendly vibe!!
There is ample car parking behind the club or opposite in Banister School car park

9pm DJ Grooves will keep you dancing until midnight

Entrance £8 all night (with FREE class)
Fancy dress is not compulsory but most of us do
The easy 'patriotic' option is to go Red White and Blue & be prepared for a night to remember.

This is a very elegant and unique event and this year we have 4 fantastic ballrooms in which to dance or mingle:
Sizzling Salsa with London's finest DJ Julian the Duke until 1.30am
Tantalising Tango with DJ David Prime until 1am, and
Smooth Swing with Andy Kale & his Jive & Swing Jukebox until 1am
and NEW for 2012 - Kizomba in the 'Courtyard' hall

NB Tracie monitors not only the ratio but also the dance floor capacity, so when ordering tickets, please give full names of all ticket holders, whether you dance Salsa, Tango, Swing and / or Kizomba and also where you heard about the event. This is not to restrict you in any way, just to ensure an enjoyable spacious night of dancing for everyone.
*NB - as from 28 Jan, the ratio of girls for (Salsa & Tango) exceeds the men, so this means that girls who wish to book single tickets, now have to book with a male dancer - not that you need to know or dance with him, it’s just to even out the ratio so that everyone has a great night of dancing. Any girls purchasing single tickets without a man, will go on to the waiting list until the ratio evens out. Tracie apologises for this restriction but it will ensure your dance card is full all evening.
Dress to impress for this spectacular event, where hundreds of people attend from all over the country. Obtain your tickets early as the event has sold out for the last 7 years:

DINING OPTION
If you are thinking of dining in Winchester with friends before the ball, then please note that good restaurants are hard to find unless you book well in advance, so Tracie provides an option to make it easier for our dancers to get good food at a reasonable price. I have arranged with the Guildhall that a 2-course dinner is served between 7.30-8.30pm in the NEW 1871 Café for approx £13. There are limited covers, and reservations must be made so please click here to email Tracie to reserve your table. Menus and prices will be posted here in January.
Directions to Winchester Guildhall
When you reach the city centre, follow the signs for the Guildhall with directional arrows to guide you in to the venue (courtesy of Tracie)!
Coming from London/Basingstoke, take J9 from the M3 (you cannot take J10 from the North)
Follow this road straight all the way until you join the Winchester one way system (opposite the fire/ambulance station)
Turn left and continue straight and you will see King Alfred’s statue on a roundabout
Turn right into The Broadway and pass the Guildhall on your left
Turn left into Colebrook Street, pass 1 archway, and then turn left through the second archway, where parking is free after 6pm
Or a little further along Colebrook Street is another pay & display car park, and again this is free after 6pm
Walk back onto The Broadway and enter the Guildhall from the front grande stone staircase
Coming from Southampton, take J10 on the M3 to Winchester
Follow this road and turn right at the first set of lights, heading for City Centre
Follow this straight all the way until you reach a roundabout and turn left
At the roundabout, take the first exit, into The Broadway and pass the Guildhall on your left
Turn left into Colebrook Street, pass 1 archway, and then turn left through the second archway, where parking is free after 6pm

8pm Intermediate/Advanced workshop with the FANTASTIC Marchant & Davina
8pm Improvers workshop with Tracie ('on1')
9.30pm Dancing until midnight
If you are serious about your Salsa, then join us for these workshops as they concentrate on the technique and quality of moves rather than the quantity.
Entrance for workshops £10 (includes dancing until midnight)
