Dear TLC Tangueros
For those of you in my Level 3 class, this is just to let you know that unfortunately Mabel cannot teach this week as scheduled, as she has had to remain in Argentina a little longer. However, Mabel WILL be back the week after on Tuesday AND Wednesday 7 & 8 February AND not only that, but Michael Lavocah has offered to teach THIS Tuesday! What a treat!
The format for Tuesdays remains the same and I am so pleased to see so many of you still dancing until the end, as you gain more and more confidence!
NEW WEDS FORMAT – Level 2 every week with Pete
The new Wednesday format is gathering pace with Pete taking a weekly open Level 2 class, while Debbie takes the Beginners course. If you are finding Tuesdays too much of a squeeze in Level 2, or want extra practice, or even a safe place to return after a little absence, then please join Pete every Wednesday, where he has a smaller group and can give you more individual attention.
7.45 – 9.30pm an open Level 2 class with Pete EVERY week – except on Beginners Taster nights** see below
9.30-10.30pm Practice dancing
£9 each week you attend or £3 if you only want to dance after 9.30pm for extra practice
On the nights of the Beginners taster class, Pete and Debbie will be required to manage the class together, so there will not be an open Level 2 with Pete. However, please feel free to join after 9.30pm, paying £3 on the door and either practice with others or ‘dance the walk’ with the Beginners on their first evening. This applies on the following dates: 7 March, 2 May, 4 July, 5 Sept, 7 November – ie the first Weds of every ‘odd numbered’ month! J
TUESDAY FORMAT
Your line up of Level 3 teachers is below and the format on every Tuesday is:
7.45 – 9.30pm Beginners course with Gill (now full)
7.45 – 9.30pm Levels 1 & 2 with Pete
7.45 – 9.30pm Level 3 with Tracie and guest teachers
9.30 – 11pm Practice dancing / milonguita
£9 each week you attend – unless you take the Level 3 class with guest teachers and then the entrance fee is normally £10
£3 in the honesty box if you are only dancing after 9.30pm
IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE
Saints are playing at home at 7.45pm this Tuesday, 31 January, so please allow plenty of time for your journey!
12-18 Feb I have a request from Ruth, to see if there are any leaders who want to join the Tango Mango in Totnes. This is a fantastic event, I am also attending and full details are below.
25 Feb TLC Ball tickets are selling like hot cakes, but unfortunately the ratio of girls for (Salsa & Tango) exceeds the men, so this means that girls who wish to book single tickets, now have to book with a male dancer - not that you need to know or dance with him, it’s just to even out the ratio so that everyone has a great night of dancing. I do apologise for this restriction but it will ensure your dance card is full all evening.

Who: Absolute Beginners with 2 or more left feet & over 18
Cost: £10 for the initial Taster night, redeemable against 8 week course fee, of £63 if you wish to continue
