All classes on Zoom – Nov 2020
Dear Dancers
Before we launch into our exciting new plans, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of you who have danced with us over the past 7 weeks and to those who have supported us in many other ways. We also want to thank our team: Claire, Debbie, Hannah, Marcus and Nicky for their hard work in adapting to teach brilliant classes and also their dedication which has allowed us to keep everyone safe in our Studio.
We’ve had so much fun teaching at the Studio, we want to keep the momentum going. Our exciting new plans for our online classes via Zoom are below. If you need some help using Zoom, I can talk you through this if required. Top tips on how to use Zoom are also listed on the TLC website
It’s so important to stay positive and active, both mentally and physically through times like this.
Do join us – we have all realised just how much our technique and muscle tone have suffered from the lack of dancing during the previous lockdown.
Each Zoom class is open 15 minutes before the class starts to test your connection and chat with friends.
Let’s stay strong and keeeeeep dancing so we can bounce back again when the lockdown is over.

MONDAYS – BALLROOM & LATIN
6.30-7.30pm – every Monday in Lockdown
Tracie and Claire (in separate houses) will teach a live solo class for all levels
Each week we will start with the basics of each dance and quickly progress with different options according to your experience and of course full on musicality. The schedule is below:
9 November Cha Cha
16 November Jive
23 November Swing choreo
30 November Rumba

TUESDAYS – TANGO
7-8pm – every Tuesday in Lockdown
Tracie and Claire (in separate houses) will teach a live solo class for all levels
Simple technique at the beginning and progressing to choreography with full on musicality and different options according to your experience as we have been doing in class

WEDNESDAYS – CHA CHA
6.45-7.45pm – every Wednesday in Lockdown
Gareth & Tracie will teach a live solo class for Improver-Advanced level dancers with groovy Cha Cha footwork, body movement, styling & turns, with the same fantastic funky format as with our live classes at the studio.
£8 (£5 NUS) per class

8.15-9.15pm – every Wednesday in Lockdown
Gareth & Tracie will teach a live solo class for Improvers
This will take the format of our previous in-person classes at the studio, where we teach a few shines, body movement, styling & turns and put them together with the music individually or as a combination.

THURSDAYS – SALSA Level 4/5

SALSA SOUTHAMPTON PRE-RECORDED VIDEO WEEKLY SUBSCRIPTION
If you prefer to learn in your own time, at your own pace with the facility of rewinding as many times as you like (or fast forward!), then subscribe to our fantastic weekly subscription of pre-recorded classes either for Improvers or Advanced. Both levels have a set of 4 videos released every Friday, where you can learn Salsa footwork, body movement, styling, technique, musicality, some Cha Cha & Bachata etc etc so that when we are ready to open as normal you are ready to rumble!!
The weekly subscription costs £8 (£5 NUS) and can be cancelled at any time.

SUPERB SALSA BEGINNERS COURSE – AS A REFRESHER OR A CRACKING CHRISTMAS PRESENT
We have a fantastic pre-recorded online salsa course for Absolute Beginners.
You can buy this if you are a recent beginner and want a refresher, or as a brand new lockdown project, or as a cracking Christmas present for your loved ones.
